In the primordial epoch of Aeon's Echo, the Celestial Chronicles were woven by the divine architect Ningal and her celestial engineers. For millennia, they maintained the equilibrium between the realms of land and sea, a balance that was known as the 'Pristine Harmony'. However, a forbidden artifact, 'The Anzu's Eye', was discovered in the lost city of Eridu by an ambitious engineer named Tiamat. Tiamat, driven by ambition and unchecked power, used The Anzu's Eye to manipulate the very fabric of Aeon's Echo, triggering the cataclysm known as 'The Breaking'. The Breaking caused a Great Tide of Oblivion that submerged vast landmasses beneath waves and birthed deep-sea abyssal kingdoms. In response to this crisis, the factions of Ningal's Engineers, Enki's Navigators, and Anu's Artisans united under a common purpose: to restore Aeon's Echo to its former glory. Following the cataclysmic sinking of Uruk, a once-thriving city on the surface, the Ningal's Engineers have emerged as the pioneers in the newly-formed underwater metropolis of Ziqqurat-Qa. Their mastery over ancient engineering secrets and hydraulics has allowed them to build sprawling cities beneath the waves. Simultaneously, Enki's Navigators, survivors from the flooded land of Sumer, have charted vast networks of underwater currents and ley lines, harnessing the power of the Abyssal Tide to traverse the deep. They are renowned for their nimble submarines and knowledge of hidden sea passages. Meanwhile, Anu's Artisans have holed up in the fortified city of Ur-Nammu, constructing awe-inspiring structures that fuse elements of both land and sea.
